Kellan McNally, M.S.W., M.A.

Kellan is a Ph.D. candidate in the social work and anthropology program. His research addresses the economic exclusion of people with disabilities and the practices that segregate or integrate their labor. Currently, he is digitally reproducing archival images from state asylum and hospital reports that documented the forced labor of patient-workers across the United States. He is also developing a global map of contemporary social enterprises that employ disabled workers across diverse industries. His focus on forms of psychosocial disability and the perspectives of people with complex ties to mental health treatment reflects his work in community health systems, psychiatric emergency services, and clinical practice with individuals and families.
